Paul Adom-Otchere Detained by OSP Over GACL Revenue Assurance Audit Probe

Former Board Chairman of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), Paul Adom-Otchere, has been detained after hours of questioning by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) in connection with an ongoing investigation into a revenue assurance audit contract.

Mr. Adom-Otchere was invited by the OSP as part of a broader probe into alleged corruption and corruption-related offences linked to a contract between GACL and a private firm.

According to the OSP, Mr. Adom-Otchere has been charged together with two others; Otchere Kwame Baffour Awuah- Group Executive, Commercial Services, GACL. An dAlbert Adjetey Adjei-Laryea- CEO of Devnest Systems.

As part of the bail conditions, he is required to present two landed properties (of no specific value) registered in his name. However, he has informed the OSP that he does not own landed property in Ghana. As a result, he remains in custody until the bail terms are satisfied.

An official letter from the OSP, dated July 25, 2025, identified him as a suspect in the case.

Speaking earlier in an interview with Citi Newsroom, he confirmed receiving the summons and said he was scheduled to meet OSP investigators at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 31.

Mr. Adom-Otchere questioned the basis for the investigation’s focus on him, arguing that management officials who were directly involved in the deal should be the ones under scrutiny.
