Salis Abdul Samed Left Out Of Black Stars Squad For Final World Cup Qualifiers

Ghana midfielder Salis Abdul Samed has been left out of Otto Addo’s 24-man squad for the Black Stars’ final 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against the Central African Republic and Comoros.

Samed, who has been a regular in recent call-ups, was a notable absentee when the Ghana Football Association unveiled the squad on Thursday. No official reason has been given for his omission, but it comes as Otto Addo reshuffles his midfield options for the crucial fixtures.

Ghana will travel to Meknès, Morocco, to face the Central African Republic on 8 October before hosting Comoros at the Accra Sports Stadium on 12 October.

Samed’s absence could pave the way for other midfielders, including debutant Prince Owusu of Medeama SC, to stake their claim in the starting lineup.

The Black Stars must win one ot both matches to seal their place at the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
