Work to resume at Kumasi Military hospital

Deputy Minister for Defense, Major Derick Oduro says plans have been advanced to kick-start work on the military hospital at Afari, in the Ashanti Region.

According to Major Derick Oduro, the Afari military hospital upon completion will provide comprehensive medical care for residents of the Ashanti Region and the whole of the Northern part of the country.

The military health facility was initiated by the erstwhile government of the National Democratic Congress.

Speaking to host of Abusua Nkomo, Kwame Adinkrah, Major Derick Oduro said “president Akufo Addo is committed to ensuring speedy completion of the military hospital.”

“As I speak to you now, we are paying a working visit to the facility within the next week to assess the level of progress.”

“Our working visit to the facility will give us first hand information on the state of affairs at the site.”

“We are determined to make sure the hospital is completed and for this reason, we have engaged the contractor to resume work as soon as possible,” Derick Oduro revealed.
