He described Mpox as a viral infectious disease characterized by swollen skin and rashes, emphasizing the need for residents to be vigilant and adhere to preventive protocols.
Dr. Appiah refuted claims of COVID-19 cases in the municipality, reassuring the public that there are no such cases.
The Health Director urged residents, particularly those who trade in bush meat, to exercise caution, as bush animals can be a source of the virus.

However, he expressed concern over the challenges faced by the health directorate in publicizing health information due to financial constraints, particularly in securing airtime on local radio stations and community information centers.
