Nations FC head coach Kassim Mingle has admitted the disappointment of missing out on the Ghana Premier League title last season but says his side will return stronger in the 2025/26 campaign.
Reflecting on the 2024/25 season, Mingle said the late slump that cost Nations FC the championship was painful for both himself and the club’s supporters.
“The outcome of the 2024/25 league season was disappointing for me and the Nations FC fraternity, particularly the late-season setback that cost us the title,” he said. “Nevertheless, we accept the result graciously, will regroup and hope to come back stronger in the upcoming season.”
Nations FC, who had been strong contenders for much of the campaign, faltered in the closing stages, leaving fans heartbroken as the dream of lifting their first-ever league trophy slipped away.
Mingle, however, insists the setback has only strengthened the resolve of the team. He believes with renewed focus and hard work, Nations FC can mount another serious challenge in the new season.
