Kurt Okraku calls for further innovation after Ghana Premier League broadcast gains

President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, says Adesa Productions Limited has played a significant role in raising the standard of Ghana Premier League production and coverage.

Okraku praised the company’s partnership with the GFA, saying it had helped create a new phase for football broadcasting in Ghana. He said the collaboration had improved the quality of production, increased the competition’s visibility and strengthened the way the country’s top-flight league is presented to audiences.

“Our partnership with Adesa Productions Limited has ushered in a new era for football broadcasting in Ghana, enhancing the production quality and rich visibility of our competition,” Okraku said.

The GFA president was speaking at the association’s 32nd Ordinary Congress in Prampram, where he recognised the progress made since the partnership began.

His comments represent the GFA’s acknowledgement of Adesa Productions Limited’s contribution to the way the Ghana Premier League is broadcast. The partnership has been credited with improving the overall viewing experience and giving the competition a stronger presence through its coverage.

However, Okraku said the progress made so far should not lead to complacency. He stressed that there was still a need for new ideas and further improvements in the production and reach of league broadcasts.

“There remains scope for further innovation and improvement. The progress achieved so far has been remarkable,” he added.

The remarks point to the GFA’s intention to build on the existing partnership in the coming seasons. While the association believes the work with Adesa Productions Limited has already brought notable improvements, it also wants the quality and availability of Ghana Premier League coverage to continue developing.

Okraku’s assessment places the broadcast presentation of the competition alongside the wider effort to improve its visibility. The GFA considers the partnership an important part of that process, particularly in enhancing how the league is delivered to its audience.

The comments also underline the balance between recognising the advances made and identifying areas that still require attention. According to Okraku, the changes achieved through the partnership have been considerable, but continued innovation will be necessary if the Ghana Premier League is to improve its coverage further.

Adesa Productions Limited’s involvement has therefore become a central part of the GFA’s assessment of the league’s broadcast development. The association’s leadership has welcomed the improvement in production standards while making clear that the goal is to extend those gains in future seasons.

The Ghana Premier League remains Ghana’s top-flight competition, and the GFA’s focus is on ensuring its coverage continues to offer improved production quality, greater visibility and a stronger overall presentation.

The comments were made by Kurt Okraku at the 32nd Ordinary Congress of the Ghana Football Association in Prampram.
