Dutch-Ghanaian winger Elton Acolatse has joined Saudi Pro League club Al-Hazem from Hungarian champions Ferencvaros for €2.5m.
The 31-year-old left winger completed the move on 27 August 2026, bringing an end to a short spell in Hungary. Acolatse moved to Ferencvaros from fellow Hungarian side Diosgyor in January 2026 for €1.5m and helped his new club win the Hungarian Cup during the 2025-26 season.
Acolatse had made three appearances in the early stages of the 2026-27 campaign before moving to Saudi Arabia. He featured twice in Europa League qualifying, playing 30 minutes in total, and made one appearance in the Nemzeti Bajnoksag, where he played for 34 minutes. He did not score or provide an assist in those matches.
Born in Amsterdam, Acolatse came through the Ajax academy and represented the Netherlands at youth level. He was part of the Netherlands Under-17 side that won the European Under-17 Championship in 2012 and later helped Ajax Under-19 claim the Dutch youth title in 2014.
The right-footed wide player began his senior career with Ajax Under-21 before joining Belgian club KVC Westerlo in 2016. He subsequently played for Club Brugge and Sint-Truiden, including a loan spell at Sint-Truiden during the 2017-18 season.
Acolatse also spent time in Israel, where he joined Hapoel Beer Sheva on loan from Sint-Truiden in February 2020. That move was made permanent later the same year, and he was part of the Hapoel Beer Sheva team that won the Israeli Cup in the 2019-20 season. He later had a loan spell with Turkish side Bursaspor before moving to FC Ashdod on a free transfer in January 2023.
His transfer to Diosgyor in July 2023 was also completed without a fee, before Ferencvaros paid €1.5m for him in January. Al-Hazem have now secured the winger for €2.5m, with his current market value listed at €700,000.
Acolatse’s transfer to Al-Hazem was completed on 27 August 2026.
