Harry Kane has been rewarded for a prolific 2025/26 season by winning the 2026 Men’s Striker of the Year award at Monday’s Ballon d’Or ceremony in London.
The Bayern Munich and England forward scored 73 goals and provided eight assists in 65 appearances for club and country, underlining his influence at the highest level.
Kane, 33, received the award after another outstanding campaign in front of goal. His performances also placed him among the leading contenders for the men’s Ballon d’Or, the principal prize presented at the ceremony.
The England captain has continued to spearhead Bayern Munich’s attack since moving to the German champions from Tottenham Hotspur in August 2023. The transfer brought an end to almost two decades in English football, during which Kane became Tottenham’s all-time leading goalscorer.
His first seasons in the Bundesliga have added a new chapter to a career built on consistency, intelligent movement and clinical finishing. The 2025/26 campaign produced the most prolific return of his career at club and international level, with his goalscoring record making him one of the most productive forwards in world football.
Kane remains equally central to England’s ambitions. He continues to captain the national team and is a key figure in its pursuit of major international honours.
The Men’s Striker of the Year award is the latest individual milestone in a career that has seen Kane establish himself as one of the leading forwards of his generation. His combination of finishing, movement and ability to contribute to team play has kept him at the heart of both Bayern Munich and England’s attacks.
Attention now turns to the men’s Ballon d’Or, the biggest award of the evening. Kane entered the ceremony as one of the favourites after a season in which his goals and overall influence for Bayern Munich strengthened his claim for the honour.
