DStv Subscribers to Enjoy 33-50% Increase in Value…Sam George

Ghanaian DStv subscribers are in for a treat! Starting October 1, they’ll enjoy a significant boost in value for their money, thanks to a new agreement between the government and MultiChoice Africa.

According to Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Sam George, subscribers can expect a 33% to 50% increase in value, depending on their package.

“This new arrangement means Ghanaians will get more services for less. It is a commitment by MultiChoice to respond to the concerns of subscribers in Ghana, and the offer is unmatched anywhere else in Africa” Sam George explained.

Under the new plan, existing and new customers will automatically be upgraded to higher packages while paying the same old prices.

Pady bouquet customers (GH¢59) will be upgraded to Access (GH¢99), gaining 35 extra channels and saving 40%. Access customers (GH¢99) will move to Family (GH¢190), getting 19 extra channels and saving 48%.

Family customers (GH¢190) will upgrade to Compact (GH¢380), adding 22 channels, including live football, and saving 50%. Compact customers (GH¢380) will get Compact Plus (GH¢570), with 12 extra channels and saving 33%.

Compact Plus customers (GH¢570) will upgrade to Premium (GH¢865), gaining 18 channels and saving 34%.

Premium customers (GH¢865) will enjoy their current package and be entered into a competition to win a trip to watch English Premier League matches.

Hon. Sam George assured that “No restrictions on the bouquet a subscriber chooses” will be imposed, and the offer applies to both new and existing customers from October 1, 2025″.
