The Pediatric Unit of Dormaa Ahenkro Presbyterian Hospital has embarked on a Kids Funfair as part of the preparations for the hospital’s 70th anniversary celebration. This endeavor seeks to fortify the collaboration and bond between the hospital, the children, and the broader clientele, thereby fostering a healthy community.
In an interview with GIFTs News during the event, Dr. Harry Acquah, a pediatrician at the Ansuah Ababio Pediatric Centre (AAPC) of Dormaa Ahenkro Presbyterian Hospital, emphasized that the program was orchestrated to enhance the relationship and connection between the hospital and its clients, particularly the children. He noted that, aside from illness, which brings these children into the hospital setting, many rarely visit the hospital. Thus, the program was designed to bring the community closer to the hospital. He assured that the initiative is not a fleeting endeavor but will be sustained to ensure the children remain joyful and healthy.
He expressed his gratitude to the parents who brought their children to partake in the festivities, underscoring that their involvement has contributed to the program’s success. He pledged to continue with the initiative to further deepen the collaboration between the hospital and its clientele.
Several parents who brought their children to partake in the program conveyed their gratitude to the hospital administration and the leadership of the pediatric unit, advocating for the program’s continuation to ensure the children sustain their health and enjoy a more joyous life.
