Your offering at church is the true reflection of who you are – Mensa Otabil

Founder of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Dr. Mensa Otabil has lashed out at Christians “who give undignified offerings to God”.

Preaching on the topic; “offerings, tithes, and gifts”, Pastor Otabil advised that the gifts and offering Christians offer in Church are not for the enrichment of pastors but rather a renewing of a covenant with God.

Using the analogy of Cain and Abel, Mensa Otabil argues that God blesses offering of “quality and quantity” just as he accepted that of Abel in the Old Testament.

Pastor Mensa Otabil has recently been in the news during one of the Church’s major program, “Greater Works Conference”.

It all happened when one of the guest preachers, Mathew Ashimolowo of the KICC opened up requests for miracles quoted in dollars.

The news got social media burning as Ghanaians chided Mensa Otabil for extorting monies from church members all in the name of Christianity – a claim the pastor has severely refuted.

Mensa Otabil is respected across the country as the most influential pastor in Ghana with one of the largest churches in the country.
