Without Ashanti region, NPP can never win election - John Boadu confesses

The Acting General Secretary for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government Mr. John Boadu has confessed that without Ashanti region, there was no way the NPP could have won the 2016 general election in the country.

Mr John Boadu who is also National Organizer for NPP observed that the percentage that the party got in the region can never be compared to other regions, and was even enough to cancel votes obtain by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in eight regions.

In an interview with otecfmghana.com’s Nana Asare Barimah, John Boadu said “look, Ashanti region, whether you like it or not, there is no way that NPP can win power in this country without the massive contribution from the loving people from the region, it is not possible, because if you compare the percentage of votes we get from the region, it can never be compared to other regions, you could clearly see that Ashanti region alone contributed a lot in the 2016 election which led to the victory of the party. I can therefore say that Ashanti Region is the heart of the New Patriotic Party”.

He urged the people in the region to have faith in the NPP government because the party will deliver his promises.

“When it comes to employment and development, the people in the Ashanti region should keep their hands cross because it is not a crime for the one who prepares a delicious food to lick the finger, so we are going to create more jobs for the youth, the government will also reconstruct most of the deplorable roads in the city and other communities in the region,” he assured the people in the region.

He also hinted of his ambition of contesting for the general secretary position of the party, and called for the party faithful to support him.
