We are yet to decide on Korle Klottey re-run – NPP

Executives of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) have said they are yet to take a decision on whether the Korle Klottey parliamentary primary will be re-run or not.

There are speculations that the primary in the Greater Accra constituency will be re-run following a complaint of irregularities to party executives by one of the aspirants Philip Addison.

But the elected candidate Nii Noi Nortey has categorically stated he will resist any attempt to re-run the primary in the constituency should the National Executive Committee decides so.

Speaking on the development, the director of elections for the party Martin Agyei Korsa told Morning Starr host Nii Arday Clegg Friday that the party is yet to take a definite decision on the way forward on the impasse.

“I’m aware that a committee is deliberating on the concerns that were raised by one of the aspirants but as we speak, I am not aware of any decision that has been taken in relation to this matter.

“I cannot say that a decision has been taken to organise the elections again or not. I have absolutely no idea on the matter and I am not in talks with any of the individuals involved because I am not allowed to do so,” he explained.
