We are not recruiting – Ghana Police

The Police Administration has stated the Service has not embarked on any recruitment exercise.

However, the Police Service said it is organizing training for persons selected by the appropriate authority for the Youth in Security Service module of the National Youth Employment Programme.

A statement by the Director of Police Public Relations, Cephas Arthur said the attention of the Police Administration has been drawn to allegations making the rounds that the Service has undertaken a silent recruitment exercise.

This rumour, allegedly, is supported by the fact that some people have been seen reporting in the various Police Training Schools for training.

The statement furthermore emphasized the Police did NOT have any hand in the selection of the trainees, and that the Service was only approached for training.

The public is the statement entreated to take note and correct the misinformation circulating in public and be wary of recruitment fraudsters.

This statement follows a public uproar over recruitment scams that has rocked the police service in recent times.
