Upper Manya Assembly equip schools furniture

Schools in the Upper Manya Krobo District have benefitted from the supply of tables and chairs from the Assembly.

This has reduced the problem which hampered the smooth teaching and learning in the schools, according to District Works Engineer, Mr Nelson Gbagbo.

In an interview with the GNA Media Auditing and Tracking of Development Projects team at Asesewa Mr Gbagbo said the assembly had already contracted, the a local furniture company to supply the items to the schools and offices in need.

Mr Gbabgo said this was aimed at helping to improve upon the results of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE)

He indicated that, apart from the schools, some statutory offices such as the unit committees and other administrative offices would also be provided with office tables and chairs to enable them function well to support the district’s development.
