Management of upper manya krobo rural bank has pledged their commitment to support communities within their operational jurisdiction.
Board chairman of the bank, James Kwame Otieku made this known in Asesewa at the bank’s 31st annual general meeting. According to him, the bank made a profit of 1,037,971 cedis last year as compared to 913,069cedis in 2013 which represents 13.7%.
Mr. Kwame Otieku said the bank spent 55,434 cedis as part of their social responsibility within manya and yilo krobo, new juaben and suhum districts.
” We are currently sponsoring two medical students at KNUST and the Cape coast university whiles we’ve also supported Akro secondary technical and Asesewa senior high schools. We have also helped Asesewa hospital and the pentecost hospital” mr. Otieku added.
The board chairman also hinted on that over 200,00 cedis has also been invested into 150 hectares of oil palm plantation project to assist farmers in their operational areas and pledged to open up to other farmers.
Mr. Kwame Otieku was grateful to both management, staff and the entire stakeholders for their hardwork and commitment over the years.
