Two suspects arrested for murder at Tuobodom

The Brong-Ahafo Regional Police Command, has confirmed the arrest of two suspects concerning the murder of five people at Tuobodom in the Techiman North District of Brong-Ahafo Region.

Nana Kwadwo Tano Bosomfuor, a fetish priest, 27 and Stephen Amoah, a farmer, 17 years are in Police custody at the Regional Headquarters in Sunyani.

Superintendent of Police Alhaji Maama Arhin, Regional Crime Officer made this known to Ghana News Agency in Sunyani on Friday.

He said the security agencies are securing Tuobodom township and its environs for peace and orderliness to allow the people to go about their normal activities.

Supt Arhin said on Thursday, August 13, 110 security personnel comprising a contingent of 80 Police and 30 Military officers and men were deployed to patrol the area.

On Wednesday, August 12, four people died through gunshot wounds in the town, while nine others who sustained serious injuries, were rushed to the Techiman Holy Family Hospital.

One died later raising the death toll to five.

All the deceased were males whilst an eight months- old pregnant survived her injuries.
