Two arrested for murder

Two suspects, whose names have been withheld from Beyin have been arrested by Police to assist in investigations over the death of a 35 –year- old man in the town.

The deceased, Timothy Kwasi, died in bizarre situation on Tuesday May 12.

Jomoro District Police Commander, Superintendent John Furguson Dzineku, told GNA at Half-Assini that one Mr John Kwasi, an uncle of the deceases reported that Kwasi allegedly cut his throat with a knife.

He said the deceased was found lying in supine position in his kitchen with a pestle and knife soaked in blood besides him.

Supt Dzineku said according to the uncle, relatives of Kwasi left him in the house in the morning to their various places of endeavour only to return in the afternoon to find him dead.

He said Police suspected foul play hence the arrests.

The District Police Commander said one other suspect is however on the run.

He said the body has been deposited at the Half-Assini Government hospital morgue pending autopsy.
