Truth Faith Church launches anniversary

Accra, Aug. 2, GNA – Reverend Evangelist Osafo Elijah Obeng, General Overseer of the Truth Faith Church, Ghana, has called on political parties to bury their differences and rally behind the government to ensure national development. He said now that the elections were over, there was the need for political parties to unite under one umbrella and work together as a team to ensure a better Ghana all were yearning for. Rev. Evangelist Elijah Obeng made the call at the launch of the 20th anniversary of the Taifa branch of the Truth Faith Church, Ghana in Accra on Saturday.

Some of the activities planned for the anniversary, which is under the theme: “Let thy Spirit bestow on us” are bible quiz, games, revival and donation to orphanages. It would be climaxed with a durbar on August 29, 2009 and a thanksgiving service on August 30, 2009.

Rev. Elijah Obeng said the Church as part of its corporate social responsibilities, has established a savings and loans company to support the welfare of its members. He appealed to the youth to open a new chapter by refraining from acts which hinder national development. The General Overseer also urged them to desist from the get-rich-quick attitude and go into a gainful employment to improve upon their living standards.
