Traditional Healers Association elects new executives

Accra, Oct. 2, GNA – Hunua Yao Dunyo, Chief Priest of the Apetorku Shrine at Dagbamate, near Akatsi in the Volta Region, was on Wednesday elected unopposed as the new National Chairman of the Ghana Psychic and Traditional Healers Association at a meeting in Accra.

Following the election, a 19-member new executive was sworn into office to run the affairs of the group for the next four years. An interim executive had ran the Association since the death of Togbe K. K. Gbedemah, the former National Chairman, about three years ago.

Other officers sworn into included Nana Kwabena Agyekum, First Vice-Chairman, Nana Kwame Asamoah, General Secretary and Nana Kwame Kwakye, National Treasurer.

The rest were, Alhaji Moro Gariba, National Co-ordinator and Madam Cecilia Mensah, National Women Organiser. More than 200 representatives from all the regional and district branches of the Association attended the meeting.
