Too many lazy people in Ghana’s public sector – Expert

Lack of proper work ethics within Ghana’s public sector is responsible for the widespread administrative failure, a governance and security expert, David Agbe, has said.

This, he says, has led to weakened structures within the sector, which he adds is full of “too many lazy people.”

In an interview with Kwaku Owusu Agyei Frimpong on Kasapa 102.3 FM, Mr David Agbe suggested that political appointees, Public Servants and Civil Society Organizations needed to play a complementary role to ensure the structures work.

His argument comes on the back of a comment made by the Environment, Science Technology and Innovation Minister, Mahama Ayariga, who admitted to gross failure across key state agencies in the handling of issues of national importance.

Mr Ayariga told Kasapa FM Tuesday institutions tasked with the responsibility to ensure that the country was well managed, have failed.
