Temporary office being prepared for Kufuor

A temporary office is being prepared for President John Agyekum Kufuor after his office at the State House was flooded on Monday from a broken down water tank.

The President, who has not been to the office this week because of the incident, would move into the temporary office at another wing of the State House.

Mr Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chief of Staff, told the Ghana News Agency that the temporary office would be ready in the next three days.

Workers of the Public Works Department (PWD) removed soaked carpets and wooden scantlings.

President Kufuor has been using an apartment at the State House until the completion of rehabilitation works at his office at the Castle, Osu. The rehabilitation is to be completed by the end of this month.
