Tema SDA/TMA pray for the Nation

Tema, March 12, GNA – The Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Church at Community Six in Tema, in conjunction with the Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA), on Saturday joined other Adventists nationwide to pray for the Nation. The congregation prayed for the country’s leadership and all Ghanaian= s to mark the National Prayer and Thanks-giving Service declared by President John Evans Atta Mills on the theme: 93Ghana, Arise, Act and Shine.” In a speech before the prayers, the Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE), Mr Robert Kempes Ofosuware, said Ghanaians must not fail to thank God for the numerous blessings He continued to bestow on them. Mr Ofosuware pointed out that it was important that Ghanaians devoted a period for prayers and sought the Lord’s face. “Let us with one accord continue to pray and thank God for peace and stability in our country, because God inhabits in the praise of his people.= ” The MCE also urged Christians in Tema, to play a leading role in the development of the Metropolis, by joining the Assembly in its drive to restore the area to its former glory.

Pastor Chris Lambert, Tema District Pastor of the SDA Church, who led the prayers, thanked the MCE and the President for recognising the importance of fasting and prayers to the growth of the Nation. Pastor Lambert gave the promise that Christians, especially Adventists, would endeavour to be good citizens, and always pray for the Ghana.
