Tema Churches Want Teenage Girls Flushed Out Of Hotels

Tema, Aug 18, — Rev Samuel E. Ampiaw, Director of Tema Council of Churches (TCC) today called on the security agencies to conduct regular checks on hotels to flush out girls, particularly teenagers, who go there for immoral practices. This would help minimise prostitution among teenage girls, he said, and called for severe punishment for girls who dress indecently to entice men. Rev Ampiaw was speaking at a symposium on the theme “Immorality among the youth and children of today – causes, effects and solutions”. It was organised by the TCC Ministry for Schools and youth groups in Tema. He called on parents to interact regularly with their children to know their problems and provide their needs so that they do not go out to indulge in social vices. Rev Ampiaw asked parent teacher associations to go beyond providing infrastructure for schools by educating the youth against immorality.
