Tano MP calls on constituents to stay united

Bechem (B/A) June 23, GNA – Mr. Andrews Adjei-Yeboah, Member of Parliament for Tano South, has called for peace and unity among two feuding communities in the Tano District to facilitate development. The call was in reaction to a violent clash between rival youth groups from Bechem and Duayaw-Nkwanta after a football match at Duayaw-Nkwanta.

Mr Adjei-Yeboah who is engaged in arbitration efforts blamed the clash on a long-standing dispute between the two towns.

The reconciliation gesture involves a return football match between the two towns at Bechem on July 1,2004.

Mr. Adjei-Yeboah has offered a “Peace Cup” to be presented to the winning team.

He has also donated 30 street light bulbs and 30 pieces of plastic chairs to the Bechem traditional council.

The MP pledged to grant scholarship awards to 80 Senior Secondary Schools (SSS) students in his Constituency.

Nana Peter Kusi, NPP Constituency Chairman said Derma; Techimantia; Brosankro; Mansin; Breme; Kwasu and Bresua, have been listed to benefit from the MP’s development agenda.
