Subah Infosolutions, SIM Box fraudsters are the same – Atik Mohammed

Policy Analyst of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Atik Mohammed has rubbished the praise showered on IT giant, Subah Infosolutions over the arrest of some SIM box fraudsters in the country.
Subah Infosolutions has received rave reviews for its collaborative efforts with the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), National Communication Authority (NCA) and Telecom networks in the nation to clamp down on SIM Box fraudsters.
The IT agency, on Thursday January 8, 2015, introduced a new technology to complement existing devices in its “triangulation project” which aids to locate SIM boxes.
The technical assistance, according to the Director General of the CID Prosper Kwame Agbor, was necessary in the joint action from the CID, the NCA and other Telecom Service Providers to fight against the influx of SIM box fraud.
Speaking on Kokrokoo on Peace FM, Atik Mohammed disagreed with those who have commended Subah Infosolutions for helping out with the arrest of the fraudsters.
Alluding to the monies that were inappropriately claimed by Subah Infosolutions for no work done, Atik Mohammed held strongly that Subah Infosolutions doesn’t deserve any praise for its role in the arrest of the SIM box fraudsters.
According to him, the organization shouldn’t claim any “glory” because it has caused huge financial loss to the State.
“I don’t see the difference between Subah and these SIM box fraudsters because we’re losing money because of this SIM box fraud, we also lost money to Subah [we gave them free money to go and squander]. All of it is a loss of revenue; what is the difference?” he questioned.
