Students Donate Furniture To Polytechnic

Members of the Seventh-Day Adventist Fellowship at Sunyani Polytechnic in the Brong Ahafo Region at the weekend donated furniture worth 1.9 million cedis for the library of the institution.

The donation was part of activities of a one-day mini congress of the Mid-West Ghana Conference of Ghana National Association of Adventist Students (GNAAS) at the Polytechnic.

Mr. Amed Owusu Ansah, Treasurer of the Mid-West Ghana Conference who presented the items, called for support for institutions to promote quality education.

“Education is the only weapon to alleviate poverty since no country can achieve its goal of development without education”. He urged the students to learn hard to face the challenges of life, adding, “as future leaders there is the need for you to focus on education”.

The Vice Principal of the Polytechnic, Mr. Benjamin Ansu Tawiah, expressed appreciation for the donation and urged groups in the institution to emulate to the Fellowship.
