South Tongu District Assembly endorses DCE

Sogakope, Oct. 9, GNA – The South Tongu District Assembly on Wednesday endorsed the President’s nominee, Miss Cate Aglah, 53, as the District Chief Executive (DCE).

Miss Aglah, a Principal Superintendent of Education, was a government appointee to the Ketu District Assembly.

She polled 48 out of the 51 votes, representing 96 per cent. Swearing in Miss Aglah, Mr Kwasi Owusu-Yeboa, Volta Regional Minister, expressed his gratitude to the assembly members and the people of the district for accepting the President’s nominee.

He said he hoped they would cooperate with the new DCE to move the district forward in the interest of the people.

Miss Aglah asked the assembly members to support her and pledged that she would not abuse the confidence reposed in her.
