SDA and government organizes thanks giving ceremony

The Seventh – day Adventist church of Ghana has in collaboration with the government of Ghana organized a national thanks giving and prayer service in Accra to mark the 56th Independence Day Anniversary.

The prayer ceremony was to allow religious organizations to offer special prayer sessions for the unity, stability, and progress of the country.

Honorable Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije, Mayor of Accra, who spoke at the ceremony said, in line with this year’s celebration activities, the Independence Planning Committee has organized “this thanks giving session for God to grant us solutions and progress in this nation.”

He said God in his mercies has been great to this Nation hence the need for these prayers.

Mrs. Patience Ayesu, Head of the West African Examination Council (WAEC) prayed for peace and unity in the country and thanked God for the bountiful resources he has blessed Ghana with.
