Sarkodie Applauds Moliy’s Billboard-Topping Triumph After Viral NBA Cameo

Sarkodie has publicly celebrated the global success of rising Ghanaian star Moliy following her viral courtside moment at a New York Liberty NBA game and her historic feat on the U.S. Billboard Afrobeats Chart.

Reacting to a video Moliy posted from the courtside, the Ghanaian rap legend commented, “The wins overflow!!! Beautiful to watch you enjoy every bit of it … best yet to come.”

The video shows Moliy being cheered on by spectators as she danced beside the court, a clip that quickly gained traction online and symbolised the global visibility she now enjoys.

Moliy, who shot to global prominence with her December 2024 release “Shake It To The Max (FLY),” has seen her momentum build with a viral dance challenge that swept across social media platforms and club scenes in the UK, U.S., and beyond.

The success of the track has been amplified by its high-energy remix featuring Jamaican stars Skillibeng and Shenseea. That version recently hit number one on the U.S. Billboard Afrobeats Chart — a rare milestone for a Ghanaian female artist.

While Ghana continues to export musical talent to the world stage, Moliy’s achievement marks a watershed moment for women in the country’s music industry. Her win not only represents personal triumph but also broadens the global lens through which Ghanaian music — especially by women — is viewed.

With icons like Sarkodie backing her journey and a Billboard number one to her name, Moliy’s ascension is no longer a matter of potential but of proven power.

As Sarkodie aptly put it, the best is indeed yet to come.
