Sammy Crabbe has sacked himself – Boniface

A member of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) National Council has stated Sammy Crabbe, who is the second vice national chairman of the party, is on his way out of the party.

Boniface Gambila told Starr News the posturing of Crabbe on recent happenings within the largest opposition party is evident that “he has sacked himself.”

Crabbe has openly stated that he does not recognize Freddie Blay as the party’s acting chairman, thus his decision to boycott meetings called by the latter in the party’s name. His position follows an objection to a decision by the National Executive Committee of the party to suspend Paul Afoko indefinitely as the NPP national chairman for allegedly working against the party.

But the former National Service Scheme boss and National Council member of the NPP said: “My concern is about the 2nd vice chairman. I’ve been reading and hearing on the air that he says he doesn’t recognize the NEC, he doesn’t recognize who… he has sacked himself”.

Speaking to Starr News’ Papisdaff Abdullah, Gambila stressed: “He has sacked himself so why should we waste our time on him? We’re looking at 2016. Left to me, he should handle his matter. I’m not sure that the party will waste that time”.

The Nabdam lawmaker added: “But there must be discipline anyway, I don’t know which terms it will take but I think it’s time wasting”.

The National Council has, however, affirmed the decision to suspend Afoko.
