Robbers loot saloon shop

Armed robbers on Sunday, May 17, 2015 broke into a saloon shop at Omanjor, a suburb of Accra.

The armed robbers who took advantage of the power outage in the area made away with two hair dryers, hair Rolex, hair wigs, hair pomade and a perming cream, all valued at GHC6,000.

The robbers, according to eye-witnesses, broke into the metal saloon by cutting the back of the container with a metal cutter.

They then packed the above-mentioned items in a waiting taxi outside and drove away, the eye-witnesses said.

The owner of the saloon, who gave her name as Madam Mary, could not believe what had happened to her.

She told this reporter how the robbery incident had affected her emotionally.

Her worry was the bank loan she took to set up the business and wondered how she was going to pay back the loan.

“I don’t even know how to pay the loan I took from the bank, since I have lost everything to thieves,” she lamented.
