Rainstorm destroys school building

Amasaman (G/A), Jan. 17, GNA – A rainstorm that hit Otweama near Amasaman has destroyed a six-classroom school block, which was built by Coca Cola Company for the community two years ago. The situation is affecting teaching and learning of about 160 school children who take their classes under palm tree structures and have to close whenever it threatened to rain. This came to light when Nii Tetteh Adjei, Chief and elders of Otweama took the Ghana News Agency (GNA) round to inspect the school building. Nii Adjei appealed to the Ga West District Assembly, the Ghana Education Service, National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) to come to their aid.
