Rainstorm causes damage

Kwmikrom (E/R), March 7, GNA – Five people were treated and discharged at the local health centre following injuries they sustained when a severe rainstorm damaged their houses at Kwamikrom last Thursday. The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) officials were not immediately available for comments but residents estimated that about 50 houses were damaged and at least 200 people rendered homeless. Buildings damaged include the L.A. JSS and three structures of the RC primary school.

The storm re-occurred itself on the following day but it did not cause any damage to property.
