Kumasi, Jan. 3 GNA – The Kumasi Race Course Traders Association has sent a congratulatory message to President John Agyekum Kufuor on his re-election for another four-year term.
The Association in its message signed by the Chairman Nana Appiah-Agyei Agyeman Boadi, noted that President Kufuor’s convincing victory was an endorsement of his leadership style and an appreciation of his government’s policy of good governance and development in freedom by Ghanaians It appealed to the President to ensure that his administration within the next four years devotes more attention to the proper development of the country’s youth.
This, the Association said, was against the background that the youth were the future of the nation and should therefore be given every necessary support to enable them play useful part in national development.
The traders also called for the appointment of a development-oriented Metropolitan Chief Executive for Kumasi who would show real zeal for the growth of satellite markets like those of the Race Course, Atonsu-Agogo, Bantama and Krofrom to ease congestion at the Kumasi Central Market.
