Prisons Boss hot over rearrested online fraudster

Kasapafmonline.com can report on authority that intense pressure is mounting on the Director General of Prisons, Matilda Baffour Awuah to explain to her appointing authorities, how an online dating fraudster, Maurice Asola Fadola, who, while serving a 5-year jail term disappeared from the Nsawam Prison after serving just seven months of his sentence.

Even though the fugitive Maurice Asola Fadola has been rearrested with support from personnel of the National Security, Kasapafmonline.com is reliably informed that Matilda Baffour Awuah who is having sleepless nights is at her wits end, as she has no clue how the criminal was able to escape from his prison room which was well secured.

The deeply troubled Matilda Baffour Awuah who is finding it difficult to adduce any explanation, is said to have also turned her anger at authorities of the Nsawam Prisons, accusing them of dereliction of duty.

Kasapafmonline.com’s impeccable sources say this development has resulted in an uneasy calm among the highest echelon of the Ghana Prisons Service.

Crowned as one of the world’s most prolific online dating fraudsters, Maurice Asola Fadola managed to dupe some British widowed pensioners of about $800,000 leaving them bankrupt. He did this by posing as an Army General, claiming that he needed money for emergency medical services and some other things.

Little did they know that it was all for a luxury gold-plated mansion. However, he was caught in his bid to obtain a British visa.

He was jailed five years with hard labour by the Financial Division of a High Court in Accra. Fadola was convicted on 28 counts of defrauding by false pretences.

But seven months into his sentence, the Nsawam Medium Prisons could not account for him.
