President makes new appointments

President Jerry John Rawlings has appointed Nana Boakye Asafu-Adjaye as the interim Chief Executive of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC).

A statement from the office of the President added that the former Chief Executive of the Corporation, Mr. Tsatsu Tsikata has been appointed Energy Advisor with immediate effect.

The statement also says, Brig. A.K.Djangmah A.g. Director General of Prisons Service and Brig. J.P. Adda A.g Chief Fire officer have been recalled to the Ministry of Defence in line with the policy of secondment of service personnel to civilian organizations.

The executive secretary of the Lands Commission Mr. Emmanuel Asare-Anim has also been re-assigned to the Ministry of Lands and Forestry. According to the statement, all the appointments take immediate effect.
