President Kufuor leaves for Abuja

Accra, Nov. 29, GNA – President John Agyekum Kufuor on Wednesday morning left Accra for Abuja to attend the first Africa-South America Summit.

The summit would deliberate on bilateral relations and economic corporation among African and selected countries from South America. Countries expected to participate in the summit from South America include Brazil, Argentina, Surinam, Venezuela, Uruguay, and Peru. President Kufuor is schedule to hold one on one bilateral talks with Presidents of those counties.

He would also attend the AU Summit meeting of the 15-member AU Peace and Security Council.

President Kufuor is expected to return on Thursday, November 30. He was seen off at the airport by Lieutenant-General J. B. Danquah, Chief of Defence Staff, Ministers of State and other Senior Government Officials.
