Power minister designate to be vetted today

Minister designate for the newly created Power Ministry will face Parliament’s appointment’s committee for vetting.

Dr. Kwabena Donkor is expected to restructure the sector for improved power supply.

His appointment comes in the wake of the worsening power crisis as a result of shortfall in generation.

Energy Policy Think Tank ACEP expects the new minister to have an aggressive strategy to end the erratic power supply.

John Peter Amewu, Head of Research at ACEP told Starr News that not only the creation of the ministry can address the power crisis in the country but the policy direction of the ministry.
