Police unconcerned about attempts to kill me – Mornah

General Secretary of the People’s National Convention (PNC) has accused the Ghana Police Service of neglect of duty.

According to Bernard Mornah, he reported a case of an attempted murder to the Homicide Unit of the Ghana Police Service in the last quarter of 2013 after a series of assassination attempts on his life but nothing has been done about his complaints.

Mr. Mornah’s concerns follow what he described as a recent assassination attack at his residence.

“I decided to report to the Police, I went to the Homicide Unit of the Ghana Police and gave them a detailed report…three months down the line nothing has happened.

“Fortunately for me I was not in the house when the house was ransacked, the question I ask is when is the Police going to act; probably when I am killed then they will conduct investigations to find out the cause of death?

“It appears the slow pace at which they are doing the investigation is not right,” he said.
