Police, others to begin recruitment soon – Henry Quartey

The Deputy Minister of Interior Henry Quartey has hinted recruitment into the various security agencies will commence soon.

According to him, the public must not fall prey to scammers who are advertising on social media and other channels about recruitment into the various agencies.

He stressed such recruitments are usually announced in the newspapers and on the Ministry’s website.

“I have the permission from my Minister to inform this august House that plans are in place and that the Ministry is ready to recruit, that is, Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana Police Service, Ghana Fire Service and the Prisons Service,” Mr. Quartey emphasised when he led a delegation from the various security agencies to the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament.

He added: “A formal communique will be sent to Parliament House and for that matter the good people of Ghana will be informed accordingly.”

Mr. Quartey also announced at the PAC hearing that Police Officers whose promotion had been pending in the last eight years have been promoted by the new government.
