Police officers urged to be conscious of their dressing

Koforidua, June 28, GNA – Deputy Commissioner of Police Ransford Ninson, the Eastern Regional Police Commander, has appealed to police personnel to be conscious of their dressing to win the confidence of the public. He said these days, it was common to see young police officers dressed without a cap and unpolished boots and this was gradually waning the confidence of the public in the police. Mr Ninson said appearance and professional conduct of a police officer was key to the image building and confidence winning of the public. He was addressing a police parade organized by the Eastern Regional Command in Koforidua. Mr Ninson said the Police Administration was bent on building the image of the police service and therefore could not compromise on discipline. He said despite efforts to build the image of the service, there were a few unscrupulous ones whose activities were drawing the service back and urge all members of the service to rise against any officer whose conduct tarnished the image of the service. 28 June 10
