Police hunt for killers of Sota chief, others

The hunt is still on for two assailants who shot and killed the Chief of Sota and two others Sunday morning in the Shai Osudoku District of the Greater Accra region, the Police say.

Chief Superintendent Kwesi Ofori, Divisional Police Commander of Dodowa, in an interview with Kasapa News said they’re counting on the public to give information that will lead them to tracking down the gunmen.

According to him,there have been frantic efforts by the Police in investigating the crime, after the sad incidence Sunday, but said it’s yet to find the perpetrators involved.

The Police have intensified patrols at the community where the incident happened, while efforts are ongoing to get the children who witnessed the said act to undergo a psychological therapy.

The chief, his son and head of family who were travelling in a Toyota Corolla vehicle on the Dodowa – Ningo road were shot dead by unknown assailants.

The assailants reportedly shot and killed the three at Mango Tsonya, a sparsely populated area near an ECG substation , after they had followed them for a while with an un-registered motorbike for the operation.
