Police grants enquiry bail to 10 persons

Ten persons arrested by the Takoradi Police to assist it investigate an alleged threat on the life and property of a landowner, Nana John Cudjoe, at Tanokrom, have been granted bail.

Police Superintendent Edward Konyel, Takoradi District Police Commander, on Monday, told the press at Takoradi that two out of ten persons turned themselves to the police in connection with the case.

Superintendent Konyel said all 10 persons were granted Police Enquiry bail.

He, however, declined to disclose the names of the suspects.

Superintendent Konyel said following a report to the police by Mr. Cudjoe, the police went to his home at Tanokrom and arrested the eight persons.

He said burnt vehicle tyres were found in the area, but the house was not set on fire.
