Police Commander installed as Asantehene’s linguist

The Ashanti Regional Commander of the Police Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU), Chief Superintendent Peter Gyimah, has been installed as the “Nkabom Kyeame” (linguist) to the Asantehene.

He goes by the stool name, Nana Owusu Gyimah Danso II and succeeded his uncle, who died 10 years ago.

Swearing the oath of allegiance to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at his Manhyia Palace, he pledged to pursue the truth to unite the people.

The King said he had followed closely his remarkable performance in the Police Service, and his expectation was that he would continue to work hard to serve the nation and Asanteman.

He advised him to uphold the values of integrity, transparency, and humility.

The Asantehene announced that his duties at the palace would be scaled-down until his retirement from the Police Service to take up a “full-time” office.
