Police arrests driver and impounds his car

Bogoso (W/R), Dec 7, GNA- A 21-year-old driver, Eric Mensah was on Tuesday arrested and a vehicle which he was driving was also impounded by the police at Bogoso.

The other occupants of the car however ran away.

The driver and those at large were alleged to have been intimidating voters at Petepom near Bogoso, Supt. Kwadwo Oppong Prestea District Police Commander told the GNA on Tuesday.

He said when the car was searched eight brand new sharpened cutlasses and some scissors were found on it.

Supt. Oppong said the vehicle was conveying supporters of one of the parliamentary candidates for Prestea Huni-Valley Constituency and were going round from one polling station to the other.
