The Bogoso police have arrested Nana Deefo Boaponsem for offering locally manufactured pistols for sale at Bogoso in the Amenfi East district.
The Western Regional Crime Officer, Mr. James Kofi Abraham, told the GNA in Sekondi that the suspect was arrested on May 7, at 1530 hours at Bogoso.
He said a search conducted in the suspects’ residence by the police led to the discovery of 18 locally manufactured pistols.
He has been remanded in police custody and charged for possessing firearms without authority, whiles police investigations continue.**
