Pick Adjaho as your running mate – Group to Mahama

A group calling itself Volta Youth for Development said President Mahama has made a great mistake for not picking the current speaker of Parliament Honourable Edward Doe Adjaho as his (Mahama’s) running mate.

According to the group the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) can only retain the Volta region as its “World bank” if Hon. Doe Adjaho becomes the Vice presidential candidate.

The group is, therefore, demanding from president John Dramani Mahama to choose the Speaker of Parliament as his running mate in order to pacify the people of the Volta region so as to increase or maintain votes in the region.

Below is the statement from the group

We, the Volta Youth for Development (VYD) demanded from President Mahama to choose Hon. Edward Doe Adjaho as his running mate to help pacify the people of Volta Region for their long neglect by the NDC especially under his leadership, so as to help increase or maintain our votes in the region, but we were ignored and now, the result is out for all to see.

During Nana Addo’s recent visit to the Volta Region, it was seen that the NPP made a significant break through in the region with the thousands of Voltarians coming out to give the flagbearer of the NPP an overwhelming welcome plus his well receipt by the chiefs as enough evidence.

Actually, the crowd has been the largest in the region ever since the NPP was formed, making it now clear that the Volta region might no longer be the NDC’s world bank after the declaration of the 2016 general election results.

And for this development, we will blame none than President Mahama for not listening to our very brilliant research based on strategic vote winning advice.

Since nothing can be done about it now, we can only pray and hope for the best for the prospects of NDC party in the Volta Region.
