Photos: ‘Yabr3’ demo underway in Kumasi

The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) “Yabr3” demonstration is currently underway in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital.

The protest organised by the Movement for Change, a pressure group sympathetic to the New Patriotic Party, is a replica of the NPP’s Won Gbo demonstrations staged in Accra last week.

According to the organisers, the protest in Kumasi is to draw government’s attention to the worsening power crises and hardships Ghanaians are having to grapple with.

The demonstration began at the State boys’ park near the Suame roundabout and expected to go through the Bantama High Street and Kejetia, as well as other principal streets in the region and later end at the Jubilee Park, Samuel Payne, Ashanti Regional Secretary of the NPP, said in an interview on Accra-based Citi FM.
