Parliament Resumes Tuesday

Parliament resumes sitting on tomorrow for the first meeting of the second session of the Fourth Republic.

A number of bills, including the People?s Representation (Amendment) Bill currently before the Committee on Constitutional, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs are expected to be debated and passed.

Other bills include the Whistle-Blower Bill, which among other provisions, is to protect persons who provide vital information on acts of corruption in public life and the Anti-Terrorism Bill, which seek to provide legislation for detection of terrorism, the National Identification Bill, the Polytechnic Bill and the Food and Drugs (Amendment) Bill, among others.
